Some of our members work very closely with various rescue groups so in the interest of helping these wonderful sporting breeds to find great homes we have introduced a page featuring dogs that need rehoming.

English Pointers, GSPs, Weimaraners ... local rescue is desperate to find homes for a number of very nice dogs! Please read the message below and check out the link at the bottom for details of more dogs in need. If you can help in any way (rehoming, fostering or just passing on the information to kind homes) please find a moment to do so.
Mugs, an English Pointer and two of his GSP friends are DESPERATE for a some affection, attention and a home for a couple of weeks (maybe less). Mugs was rescued after being out in the cold for several months this winter (a farmer left food out for him). He has been sojourning at a vet clinic while he recuperated, but he can no longer stay there. Mugs has gained some weight and learned some manners. The shelter says he is a sweetheart except he will definitely need a fenced yard because he has forgotten what a home is and may wander off.
His friend Abby's next home is the gas chamber. Christine escaped gassing because of the tireless efforts of two rescuers who wanted her to know love and security.
We are desperate to find foster homes for these dogs by Thursday, July 3. Please help us to help them. Pass this information on to your network ASAP or consider fostering yourself for a short time. Pointers are lots of fun in the summer! Thank you for helping - we couldn't continue rescuing without help from friends like you! :-)
